Where was Webrunner?

About two months ago, webrunner called an emergency conference of the webmasters.

Something was wrong. Very wrong.

Webrunner announced to all the assembled webmasters that his arch-rival AOL was beginning to attempt dirty tactics. AOL, using it's mindless bunch of followers, began to start hitting some otherwise peaceful, happy websites with an inordinate number of people. Very soon webservers all over the world were being flooded and their pingtimes dropped quite severely.

Webrunner made the announcement to the assembled webmasters that he would retreat into hiding for a while and set traps to try and catch AOL and destroy it once and for all (some of them based on the millennium bug). He promised he would return as soon as all the traps had been set and he was ready for a final battle. He urged all the webmasters to be strong, and they would overcome evil once and for all...

At this point, an obvious AOL follower jumped from the crowd and shouted "Hey MAN!!! That is so kewl!! Wow!! What's your screen name? Have you seen this really kewl website where you can forward millions of emails and make new friends??". He then uttered the AOL battle cry "YOU'VE GOT MAIL!!" and shot several Instant Messages at webrunner in a desperate attempt to kill him. However, webrunner was well prepared, and was quickly escorted from the building by a gang of devoted followers.

He remains in hiding.

Kristen confirmed this later the day same day

this is actually all true. i've read about it on the stupid welcome screen that pops up whenever i sign onto aol. "AOL News: AOL Overlords Wage War Against Society of Webmasters." apparently, their newest idea is to have an army of people sending instant messages saying things like "what do u look like?" and "age/sex/loc check." i fear for webrunner's safety.

Greetings mortals! yes, i'm mortal too, but that doesn't mean you're mortals anyway.

So let me say this:

"i'm back!"

and now let me say it in a differnet language:

"je suis de retour"

and lest I forget...

*waves hands indicating his return*

...and later the same day

Right here. I got a new comp and other interests sorta just popped up.
I've been working on a webcomic, if that helps.
