It stands for Digressing Nerds Asscosiaition. AFDA holds a larger quantity of nerds than a random sample of people from, say, Lincoln, and as you may have noticed most posts within have little (if anything) to do with their stated subject. Recent examples include:

Anyway, to get back to the point - the H2G2 books tend to move off at tangents most of the time, like the froup. In fact you could be forgiven for thinking that they were written by a Digressing Nerds Asscosiaition - hence our name for Him.
